The Sage is an excellent Vargan by Volgutov of Russia. Great for everyone from beginner to advanced players.

Similar to the smaller whirlpool vargan while being lower in tone and more of a bass harp. Sound is deep and rich with a pure bell ring with good sustain. Gaps are tight allowing for a high sensitivity to articulation and volume is of a good level. Harp plays very well inward and outward. Trigger flows smoothly through fast and slow play. Stability and ease of play makes this approachable to the beginner, while pure sound and high sensitivity will satisfy the advanced player. An excellent vargan and value from Russia.

Handmade in nature and tone may vary slightly with each individual piece. These vargan come with a magnetic ball installed in the loop trigger! Remove the ball for a slightly higher pitch. Two instruments in one!
