Master Mohan’s take on a Tailess Morchang. Hand forged in Rajasthan, India.

These tailess Morchang are absolutely wonderful! Extremely melodic and excellent for the novice to advanced player. They work well with open/close glottis play as well as breathing techniques. The reeds are on the stiff side of the spectrum, and have a low sustain and low saturation which makes fast percussive beats quite easy to achieve.

Morchang are hand forged and tuned by ear from the maker. By choosing the “Permanent Tuning Service” our in house harpsmith can tune up to the nearest note in the 440hz Western scale. Due to the handmade nature individual instruments will vary slightly in size, sound, and appearance, making each one a unique piece!
