These Susap are handmade using traditional methods by Master Steev Kindwald of Japan.

These instruments are styled after the Susap Traditionally played by the people of Papua New Guinea. This ancient style of harp may date far back into history some even say it may date back to stone age periods although their history is unknown. It is unique in that it is string tapped instead of plucked or pulled to make sound. This style requires a different skillset to play than many jaw harps do and will require that a user learn how to play it. The learning curve may be steep but the reward is great when finally mastered. Each piece is unique in look and sound and is an awesome tribute to historical harps.
