Brass cast in a sand mold in the ancient fashion, this Afghan pattern morchang by Ghorkha sports a very stiff reed and is not for the faint of heart. It’s offset reed in master Ghorka’s signature style makes for easy draw starts and percussive rhythms can follow. Medium in volume as well as sensitivity. Ghorka are not loud harps, but good melody can be extracted if one has the skill.

Morchang have two options for sound. Select “no” to option draw start for cleaner sound. Select, “yes,” to draw start option for less clean sound with the ability to draw start. Draw start option allows the harp to sound or sustain by breathing air in and drawing air aver the reed.
