Brass cast in a sand mold in the ancient fashion, this Afghan pattern morchang by Ghorka sports a very stiff reed and is not for the faint of heart. It’s offset reed in master Ghorka’s signature style makes for easy draw starts and percussive rhythms can follow. Medium in volume as well as sensitivity. Ghorka are not loud harps, but good melody can be extracted if one has the skill. These Morchang are now crafted by his son Veera Ram.
This Morchang still sounds of Rajasthan and the beautiful Morchang that are made there. The sound of each of these morchang is unique and individual in character.
